National Representative Team

2 June 2013

The New Zealand team to take part in the Women's World Championship is: Barbara Johnston (Masterton), Joanne Lippard (Herne Bay), Christine Strichen (Wanganui East), and Claire Wilson (Masterton).

Originally scheduled for Monastir, Tunisia (1-4 October), the Championship is now likely to be held in France around the same dates.

The Tunisian Federation has been reported as bidding for the 2014 Men's Confederation Cup.

Barbara will be attending her fifth World Championship. Joanne, Christine, and Claire will be attending their second.

Richard Lawson and Alan Taylor beat Myles Cowper and Michael Rocks 13-11 in the final to win the Masterton Midwinter Doubles.

Pan Pacific Championship

Twenty-five teams from eleven countries took part in the 7th Pan Pacific Championship in Brunei. No reports have been received from the Wellington team members yet, but there has been some coverage in the Brunei Times.

Any remits you wish to put forward need to be with the Secretary by Saturday 22 June 2013.
