Inter-club competition

Jacques Cochonnet Challenge Trophy

Another 6 player team event. However, in a Jacques Cochonnet match the players are drawn randomly - the first player from each team plays 3 games of Singles, the next two play 3 games of Doubles and the remaining players play 3 games of triples.

The format is loosely based on rugby's Ranfurley Shield. Each month a club challenges the holder to a match. The winner is the team to win a minimum of 5 games. The challenging clubs are drawn by lot at a WPA meeting following the conclusion of a round of challenges.
