World Championship venues

1 July 2013

FIPJP have confirmed Montauban in France as the venue for the World Youth (under 18) Championship from 29 August to 1 September. The Women's World Championship will be held at the same venue from 4 to 6 October.

2013 Masters of Pétanque

The 2013 edition of the Masters of Pétanque features 8 teams competing in 6 events from June through September throughout France. The programme can be found on the official website. Photos from the events can be found on the Facebook page.

Horowhenua Midwinter Triples

20 July 2013

Sixteen teams took part in the Horowhenua Midwinter Triples. In the closing gloom, the Wanganui East Triple of Pete Hamilton, Shirley Selwyn, and Richard Turfrey beat Myles Cowper, Nick Jegousse, and Michael Rocks 13-9.

The Plate final was won by the Otaki Triple Don Fraser, Shirley Fraser, and Clare Loman who beat the Kapiti team of Kath Gatford, Tony Gatford, and Beverley Mason.

Jacques Cochonnet Trophy Match

Masterton and Upper Hutt battled atrocious weather on 14 July as well as each other in their Jacques Cochonnet challenge match. It was agreed that the match would stop as soon as one side reached the necessary five wins.
