Treasurer's Report

Report submitted by Michael Rocks via the Forum.

Michael asked for any questions. Claire Bradburn asked about the purchase of two sets of boules and Michael explained these are for use at Shooting competitions.

Claire then commented on Club numbers, these being very low for Hataitai, Khandallah and Windy Hills.

Michael then stated that the financial year finishes on 30 April and any outstanding invoices need to be submitted ASAP. Also any Clubs holding cheques issued by WPA should bank them ASAP.

Acceptance of the report was moved by Kevin McFadgen and seconded by Margaret Mordecai. Carried.

Tournament Subcommittee

Graeme Morris began by stating that there would only be a verbal report.

The Regional Triples event went well and there were 18 teams taking part.

The Southern TriStar event was won by Wellington Gold. Bay of Plenty was second. The BOP team really enjoyed the opportunity and would like to come again. Thanks to Otaki for hosting this time.

Graeme then presented a paper (26kB) on the future of the TriStar event which was prepared as a result of a meeting held following the 2013 Senior Tri-Star tournament. Kevin proposed that the paper be accepted following the finalisation of some details. The proposal was accepted and agreed to by all present.

The first Shooting competition went well and there were 14 entries. It was enjoyed by all participants. It was suggested that next time a Pointing and Shooting competition be held on the same day. Some decisions need to be made around this. Michael Rocks was congratulated for running an excellent event. The Tournament Committee is to look at how best to maximise the use of the equipment.

Park Avenue Report

The report on the meeting held between Park Avenue Petanque Club and Alister Skene, Chairman of the Hutt City Communities Trust was presented by Barbara Nicholls. No final decisions on the future of the Club have yet been made.

No umpire's representative present.

Carried by all.

Otaki club member

Otaki Club delegate Margaret Mordecai notified the meeting that there is a member of that Club turning 100 in August and they are making some plans around the occasion. A letter from the WPA would be much appreciated.
