Winter Competition

The Winter competition allows interested players the opportunity to play a few organised games over the winter months. It also allows new players to obtain a taste of competitive play in a more social, less intense environment.

In previous years the tournament functioned as a de facto Inter-club competition. Following discussions at the conclusion of the 2005 competition, the event was turned into an individual player event.

In 2010 the WPA decided not to run a Winter Competition in order to concentate on planning for the new season. Member clubs were invited to organise events during the winter.
