Masterton's hold on the Jacques Cochonnet Trophy has finally been broken by Kapiti.
After the first round Kapiti led 2 games to 1. Masterton fought back to level 3-3, before Kapiti cleaned up in the third round to finish 6-3 victors. Result
Kapiti's first defence is away to Otaki.
