Michael queried what progress had been made on the sub Committee for people who do work for WPA. Michelle Maxwell, Kevin McFadgen and Graeme Millard were appointed to the committee to discuss format.
Misinterpreted comment from Michael re Website
Instead of Michael reported that it would cost several thousand dollars to let somebody else use the website, but Graeme Millard said somebody else should have the password in case of any misfortune happening to the webmaster.
This should read … or do we want to go down the same road as Pétanque New Zealand, which cost several thousands of dollars.
Michael spoke to his report previously sent out to all clubs, his concern of expenditures for trophies and medals being given which is outside the WPA Committee decision made on 24 July 2014.

Michael gave notice of intending to submit a remit at the next Annual General Meeting in June. That the $10,000 term deposit not rolls over in 2019. The $10,000.00 would be split and $1000.00 be given to all clubs. He encourages Clubs to give thought to this before the AGM.
Coach Graeme read to his report which is attached to minutes. He expressed his delight and pleasure to the teams who participated in the Wellington - Hawkes Bay Challenge, Tri Star and Chanticleer Cup; the first two getting both Trophies back to WPA. Chanticleer Cup whilst we did not win there were hard fought games making it the closest tournament in Auckland for some time.
Chanticleer cup Graeme has not received any new updates from Ella Harris regarding the rules for the future. Graeme did express that he would like to see the same format played as at Tri Star
Coach Graeme disputed many of the criteria regarding the conditions and rates for payments involving coaches. He asked that since he was a player in the Chanticleer Cup as well as coach so therefore was not eligible for payment that the forty dollars should go to Tony Simpson who was Manager, Coach at the Chanticleer Cup.

President Graeme advised that one written application had been received for the position of webmaster. Moises Burgos. Linda Millard read out Moises CV and experiences. President Graeme suggested that Moises would link up with Michael to run through the details of the Webmaster.

Applications to join the WPA have been received from Bay View Pétanque Club and Hawkes Bay Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.
A very lengthy, lively discussion took place on the applications received, many suggestions both positive and negative was heard by many club delegates. Coach Graeme tabled a document that he had written on the benefits and disadvantages from his point of view. All clubs had received copies of the responses to the WPA questionnaire. Bulleted are some of the many responses from the meeting.

A subcommittee be formed, Claire Wilson, Graeme Millard and Kevin McFadgen to invite all clubs to send forward their questions that need responses to of the two clubs. The subcommittee will then report back to Wellington Pétanque Association Committee for further discussion.
A letter of thanks to be sent to Jack for his voluntary support as a Regional Umpire.
It was discussed that some entry forms for tournaments are not precise on this ruling. Some players are wearing open toed shoes and sandals.
Graeme Morris advised he will look at all tournament entry forms and rectify. The Tournament Committee and umpire would enforce the ruling at all tournaments.
