Te Papa Sports Exhibition

Anne reported has had offers of help from various clubs. Roster of people to look after the display. Pétanque brochures available for visitors.

Constitution Sub Committee

Draft constitution ready to circulate to clubs before the next meeting.

Strategic Development Sub Committee

Responded to the Sport Wellington re Te Papa Sports Exhibition

WPA Singles & Doubles

Brian outlined the problems from Singles & Doubles. Also the need to decide what is more important, time or the quality of pétanque.

Discussion on the Singles & Doubles resulted in a decision to move back to holding all the Regional Championships over 2 days.

Date to complete the Doubles Championship

Moved: "That the Doubles Championship be completed on the 18th November and that the Womens Singles Championship be moved to the 10th February 2002". Moved: Dahpne Hendrie, Seconded: Gwen Hill

Motion passed (6 Clubs for, 1 Club against)

Champion of Champions

Ken outlined his proposal for a Champion of Champions.
Moved: "That the Champion of Champions proposal be implemented". Moved: Ken Doyle, Seconded: Brian Smith

General Business

The meeting passed a vote of thanks to Brenda for all the work she has done on the logo, polo shirts and badges.

Sports Wellington Junior Sports Festival 20.11.01

Volunteers required to help with pétanque. Venue: Kaori Normal School

Some updating of details needs to be done. Clubs need to supply updated information.

NZPA Report

National Singles & Doubles Championships at Napier have attracted large entries.

Midweek Social Pétanque

Suggested that an informal interclub for mid week social players be arranged. To be discussed next year.
