Report on NZPA meeting 9.5.98: Meeting was very productive. NZPA President unable to attend because he was at a Hillary Commission Seminar on Strategic Planning and Media Liaison for emerging sports.
Next meeting of NZPA 27.6.98: Meeting agreed to pay air fare of NZPA President (approx $260 - $300)
The NZPA meeting on 27.6.98 to discuss seeding in national tournaments. WPA asked to support this policy.
Move: 'That the Wellington Pétanque Association supports the policy of seeding teams and/or players in all National Tournaments.'

Meeting agreed to a couple of these types of tournaments later in the year. Open to players who are starting in pétanque and those who are entering a tournament for the first time. Suggested that they could be triples tournaments with an experienced player allocated to each team.
