Matters Arising from Minutes 29.1.98
Phil - Still following up sponsorship. Air New Zealand said no.
Interclub Doubles
Brian to draw up registration form. Registration by 30.4.98. Copies of rules and format to be sent to clubs. Agreed to wait until entries received before deciding how to determine top club.
NZPA Committee Meeting Report
- Membership of NZPA: WPA agreed to encourage club members to join NZPA.
- Wellington invited to host 1999 Air New Zealand National Triples (Easter 99). Meeting agreed to accept invitation.
- The meeting moved that Brian be nominated for President of NZPA.
- Phil tabled a proposal from Hataitai that the fee paid to the NZPA be made up of $2.00 WPA Affiliation Fee and $8.00 to the NZPA. The meeting felt there could be problems with the NZPA accepting this, but agreed to do some further work on this proposal.
WPA Affiliation Fee
Agreed to $2.00 per club member to a maximum of $50.00 per club.
Wellington Petanque Association AGM

Peter Whittington to audit accounts.
Dirk nominated for President WPA. Brian for Secretary/Treasurer.
General Business
- Masterton congratulated for the recent triples tournament.
- Peter (Kapiti) reported that the District Council is looking at turning the nearby rose garden into a pétanque terrain.
- Gerard suggested that training days should be marked on the WPA calendar. Clubs to bring dates to WPA meetings.
- Brenda: Khandallah's Club colours are bottle green and red.
