Matters arising from minutes 4 February 1997

No matters arising.

Air New Zealand National Singles

• Plate prize: Leon to see Glengarry Wines.
• Gerard to provide scoresheet board and piste numbers.
• Tournament to start at 9:30 am.
• Air New Zealand have still not committed themselves to provide a prize.
• Catering: Park Avenue Bowling Club to provide food.

Wellington Regional lnterclub League

All agreed that the first attempt at a league was successful. The only problem was having to play every Saturday. Proposed that we hold another interclub league. Proposed the following:

• Triples.
• be held once a month.
• Sunday (afternoon) of each month.
• teams divided into pools.
• played over at least 4 months (depending on number of teams). Teams could play each other twice?
• 1 game plus positive points differential.
• Quarter finals, semi finals and final.
• First venue Park Avenue, 20.4.97.

Events Calendar for 1997

Leon and Brian to draw up calendar for discussion.

General Business

Wellington Pétanque Club (Gerard)

No objections to a terrain at Melrose Park. Wellington Bowling Club (Brooklyn Bowling Club) have shown an interest in pétanque. Gerard has made contact with the bowling club. Wellington Rugby club has an unused softball diamond within it's grounds. Could be used for pétanque.

NZPA AGM

AGM to be held on 3.4.97. Contact Cam for last year's minutes, accounts and this year's agenda. Agreed that the WPA Secretary should be the point of contact with the NZPA. No need for Regional Rep.
