Khandallah Mixed Doubles

Thirteen teams took part in the Khandallah Mixed Doubles. The Trophy final saw last year’s winners, Paul Bonsey & Lynley Watt face Linda Gazzard & Michael Rocks. After a see-saw battle which saw the lead change hands five times, Linda and Michael prevailled 13-8.

Kapiti Open Doubles

Twenty nine teams took part in the Kapiti Open Doubles. In the Trophy final, Sharon Cannon and Michelle Maxwell gained their revenge against Murray Porter and Brian Smith, who beat them in last year's final. Sharon and Michelle came back after being down 10-4 to finally win 13-10.

Christine Strichen and Claire Wilson beat Enoka Smiler and Monica Smiler 13-9 to win the Trophy Consolation.

Geoff Greer and Denise Bavidge beat Mary Joblin and Ken Heywood 13-8 to win the Plate.

Finally, the Bowl was won by Tony Gatford and Kathy Gatford.
