Pete Hamilton and Richard Turfrey won the Hawke's Bay Summer Doubles beating Jared Handford and Nico Toyne 13-9 in the final. This is Richard's maiden Open tournament win.

I have just been notified by Horowhenua that they have withdrawn from the rest of the interclub rounds for 2010.
They were drawn for the bye in the morning round and Otaki in the afternoon. Otaki win by default.

Fifteen teams took part in the eighth Upper Hutt Swiss Doubles. Elizabeth Rocks/Michael Rocks were unbeaten in winning the event. A point further back were Doug Hay/Helene Hay and Colleen Horton/Kathy Taylor.

Richard Turfrey's recent run of tournament success continues. This time he teamed up with Michael Rocks and Peter van Heusden to win the WBS Open Triples. In the final they beat Morgan Choveaux, Lee Taffard and Nico Toyne 13-11.
