Claire Wilson congratulated the people who were selected for the Wellington-Auckland Chanticleer Cup Tournament.
Claire proposed that only emerging players and no NZ players past or present should play and at least two women in each team should participate in this event.
Christine suggested that 6 top players play against the top 6 Auckland players and 6 emerging players play against 6 emerging from Auckland.
Noeline liked both suggestions.
Graeme Morris said that Auckland were not breaking any rules. Michael agreed with the suggestion put by Christine. Kevin spoke about the fact that Auckland couldn’t get enough emerging players to play last year.
It was finally agreed that Graeme Millard and Graeme Morris have a meeting with Auckland representatives prior to the Tournament in Auckland in August.
Claire Bradburn spoke about the fact that there were only two nominations for PNZ, Secretary and Treasurer and it would be likely that there would be no overseas tournaments to attend. PNZ really needed someone to step up and said that there would be help available.
Liz Rocks spoke about what PNZ wants and could it be better defined. She felt that PNZ had put too much emphasis on top players and the middle of the road players felt left out. Graeme Hooper said that PNZ was tax exempt and if it folded the money would be forfeited.
