Corrections to Meeting Minutes

Firstly as it is coming up very shortly I want to wish you and yours a Happy New Year and look forward to the next WPA meeting.

Unfortunately when reading thru the minutes of the last meeting I saw that you have one or two things incorrect regarding the umpires. I do think these should be corrected, hopefully before the next meeting and the corrections sent out.

Barbara Whittington is already a National Umpire so she wouldn't be sitting any exams. However, I did suggest to the PNZ that she organise and set exams for Club and Regional Umpires and that PNZ do the Nationals.

I did write to the then Director of Umpiring not complaining but suggesting that as we have 8/10 prospective umpires in our region that waiting until March might put them off and we didn't want to do that.

Preferred uniforms reply from PNZ said that they were considering putting out a survey to all umpires re uniforms and this was not our group.

We did not pass that bibs would be bought but that visible tops be purchased and I think I am right when I say that Richard Turfrey moved that up to $30 each top be allowed and myself to purchase.

I would be grateful if you would correct the minutes to reflect my comments above.
