Pétanque Wellington - Regional Awards 2010-11
The Regional Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the best in Wellington Pétanque, both on and off the piste.
Rules and Conditions of Entry
- Performance by nominees will only be considered when they have occurred in the qualifying period (1 May 2010 to 30 April 2011). Nominees under consideration for the awards must meet the criteria under (a) and (b) below:
- Through membership of a pétanque club affiliated to Pétanque Wellington during the qualifying period
- Through residency in the Pétanque Wellington region during the qualifying period
- Nominations will be accepted from Clubs and individual members.
- Nominations close at 5:00 pm, Monday 16 May 2011.

- The winner(s) of each category, except Personality of the Year, will be selected by a panel of Pétanque Wellington members convened by Michael Rocks. No panel member will be eligible for nomination for any award. Their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner of the Personality of the Year will be the person or persons who receive the most votes cast by members of Pétanque Wellington. A list of nominees will be published on the WPA website and circulated to Clubs on Tuesday 17 May and voting will close at 9:00 pm, Tuesday 31 May 2011.

- Nominees may be nominated in more than one category.
- Nominees for the Junior Player of the Year must be under 23 at 1 September 2010.
- Nominees for the Senior Player of the Year must be over 60 at 1 September 2010.
