WPA Annual General Meeting

Some highlights from the Annual General Meeting held at Silverstream. The minutes will be sent out in due course.

• Graham Millard (Upper Hutt) is the new WPA President
• Noeline Corley (Manawatu) is the new Secretary with Val Clark (Otaki) continuing as Minute Secretary
• Michael Rocks (Khandallah) was reappointed as Treasurer
• Affiliation and Entry fees are the same as last year.

Life Membership

Jack Gazzard (Kapiti) and Gwen Hill (Kapiti) were awarded Life Membership of the WPA in recognition of their service to Umpiring.

Jacques Cochonnet Trophy Challenge

Upper Hutt’s first defence of the Jacques Cochonnet Trophy was away to Horowhenua. Overcoming some spirited resistance, Upper Hutt prevailled seven games to two to retain the Jacques Cochonnet Challenge Trophy.

Upper Hutt’s next defence will be at home to Manawatu.
