The first round of Triples saw Hawke's Bay extend their lead when they won 3 games to 1. This gave Hawke's Bay an overall ten point lead.

Over the next 90 minutes, Wellington won 3 games and with the final game at 9-9, everything depended on the outcome of this game which finally went Wellington's way to give them a narrow 25-23 point win.

The Khandallah club will be running two twilight events on Wednesday 12 and Wednesday 19 January.
Both will feature the new game of 2-Boules, which has been designed to encourage and develop both pointing and shooting.
Games are limited to 30 minutes and use a match play format (you score a point for winning an end, not the number of holding boules you have) of 11 ends.
You may enter the first, the second or both events.
