The new piste was laid in 1997.Over the years the Kapiti Pétanque club has embarked on several major upgrades to the club's facilities.
Initially the club was located at the Kapiti Bowling Club in Matatua Road, Raumati Beach.
However, the rapid increase in membership saw the club relocate to its present location at the Paraparaumu Domain in Aorangi Road where it took over the former Kapiti Croquet club green.
