Trans Tasman Challenge 2003

Played at the Melbourne Pétanque Club, Middle Park, Melbourne

The inaugural Trans-Tasman test between Australia and New Zealand was won by the Kiwis after a remarkable turnaround on the second day of play.

The New Zealanders were trailling by ten points at the end of the first day, but the New Zealand team of Denise Bavidge, Sharon Cannon, Geoff Greer, Pam Jenkins, Michael Rocks and Aussie Samuel stormed back on day two, reversing the ten-point deficit to finish with an eight-point lead.
