Celebrating 21 years of Pétanque in New Zealand

In October, Pétanque in New Zealand will come of age - that’s 21 years strong.

The Board is asking Clubs and Regions to help to make this a celebration, by holding an event or events, to promote and enjoy our wonderful sport over the period 25 October - 2 November 2014.

The whole week could build through Labour Weekend to the weekend of 1 and 2 November 2014, which just happens to be the weekend of the National Doubles Championships in Kapiti.

Come up with your great idea for promoting the great game of Pétanque, and put a post on the PNZ Facebook page, or e-mail it to dezandsarah@xtra.co.nz. Remember to “like” PNZ celebrating 21 on the Facebook page as well.

PNZ is providing a wonderful prize for the best promotional idea - your Club could win an afternoon tea shout, to the value of $200.

PNZ will consider helping your club financially, to support a worthwhile promotional idea. So get your thinking cap on, then get your ideas posted, and help make this year of Petanque a year to celebrate.

If you'd like to discuss a promotional idea or need some assistance, please contact Richard, c/- secretary@petanquenz.com or by phone on 0274 842 775

Cheers & Happy Pétanque
