Naenae Pétanque Ray White Real Estate Open Doubles

The Naenae Open Doubles was held on 9th November with 14 teams entered. Four random games were played to provide seeding into three groups of four (Trophy, Plate and Bowl) plus two consolation teams. After lunch a semi-final followed by a final were played between the winners in each group.

The Upper Hutt pairing of Brian Smith and Moises Burgos were unbeaten over six games. Last year’s winners Theresa and Seymour Harawira, from Silverstream club, enjoyed early success, but were relegated to runners up in the hard fought final.

WPA Regional Senior Doubles Championship

20 November 2024

Twenty three pairs took part in the WPA Regional Senior Doubles on Wednesday the 13th of November at Horowhenua. Winners of the trophy were Kevin McFadgen and Tony Gatford (Kapiti). Runners up were Brian Smith and Derek Worsley (Upper Hutt).

Pete Hamilton Memorial Triples

21 November 2024

Twenty eight teams played in the Pete Hamilton Memorial Triples at Wanganui East on 16-17 November. Day One consisted of five randomly drawn games. On Day Two the top 16 teams were split into four pools of four. The top two to Trophy and the bottom two to Plate. Teams 17-28 played four randomly drawn games. Winners of the trophy were: Andre Noel, Keelan Noel and Gordon Dykes. In second place - Annick Le Guen, Christian Fouquet and Nicola Brock.

Kapiti Super Seniors (over 70) Mêlée

21 November 2024

There were 37 entries in the Kapiti Super Seniors Mêlée held on Wednesday 20th November 2024.

The winner was Dave Gwerder (Upper Hutt) with five wins. Runner up was Carol Knapp (Kapiti), also with five wins and only one point behind the winner.
