WPA Open Triples

Trophy winners Steve Frampton, Myles Cowper & Michael Rocks

Nineteen teams competed in the 2023 WPA Open Triples at Otaki Pétanque Club on Saturday 9th December.

After the random draw, teams were divided into two lots of eight for the quarter final, semi final and final of the trophy and plate. Three teams competed for the bowl.

The winners were :
Trophy - Michael Rocks, Steve Frampton & Myles Cowper
Plate -   Shirley Macdonald, Ann Hogg & Graeme Morris
Bowl -   Joy Jordan, Mary Kahill & Colin Gooch

Upper Hutt's first defence was at home against Masterton on Thursday, 14th December 2023.

Masterton won their singles 2-1. Upper Hutt won the doubles 3-0 and triples 2-1. This gave them an overall win of 6-3.

Upper Hutt's second defence is away against Naenae.
