Hawke’s Bay Autumn Triples

29 May 2021

Murray, Bethne & Barry

Eighteen teams took part in the Hawke’s Bay Autumn Triples played three weeks ago (May 8-9).

The tournament in association with The Station Bar & Bistro, Napier, was held during a very typical Hawke’s Bay weekend of very fine weather.

The final featured Sarah-Jane Wright/Dez Grant/Sharon Canon against last year runners up Bethne Gardner/Murray Porter/Barry Hunt. After being down 11-8, Bethne, Murray and Barry came back to win 13-11. This was the sixth time that Sarah, Sharon and Dez have been runner-up in this event.

This was a great event which was enjoyed by all the teams which came from mainly lower North Island clubs.
